About the Provider

Kristina Garrido, ARNP, graduated with a B.S. in Nursing from Idaho State University.  She served 5 years in the Navy, during which time she cared for women and children in Labor and Delivery, Neonatal ICU and Pediatric ICU.  She then relocated to attend Seattle University’s Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program.  She graduated with high honors for the Master’s Degree in Nursing in 1998, and was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.  She was hired by Medalia/Providence, Issaquah Clinic shortly after graduating.  In 2000, after Providence closed the Issaquah Clinic, she and 3 physicians formed Issaquah Medical Group, and partnered with Overlake Hospital to continue providing primary care to the Issaquah area.  In 2002, Issaquah Medical Group became an independent clinic.

Kristina’s personal practice in Issaquah has grown exponentially in 10 years.  She excels at providing excellent medical and emotional care to her patients and has developed a very loyal patient base.  She sees patients of all ages and often cares for entire families.  Her decision to create Village Family Clinic & Wellness Center was based on two factors:  her desire to spend adequate time with patients when they need it and her appreciation of alternative medical practices.  Functional medicine is her main area of interest due to the evidence-based research available on nutritional supplements for prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.  Because it has been difficult to recommend treatment, but not know where the patient can find the proper vitamins or supplements, Kristina started the retail portion of the clinic to provide this service.

Kristina is married to Terry Garrido, and they have two children, Ila and Kian.  They are proud to be members of the community they serve, and plan for this to be a “family-owned, family-friendly” business.
